Billie Eilish- Hostage

Exciting pop star, Billie Eilish shares her latest track called ‘hostage’.
It’s a stripped back song, but despite its all acoustic feel, and much like all of Billie’s music, there is a darker side, as she explains “”hostage” is a song that borders on and explores the unhealthy side of love. Billie points out “when you are so in love that you feel like you can’t be without them and you can’t see them with someone else. It is not a healthy feeling but I think everyone feels it at some point.”
For any first time listeners of the name , Eilish is a fresh, young voice in the alternative music scene who doesn’t create flash-in-the-pan pop tunes.  Instead, she crafts melodic, and many times reflective, lyrics-centered electro/synths/guitar-based compositions that captivate with her sweetly longing vocals.  She’s been praised by none other than Rolling Stone Magazine, TIME Magazine, the BBC, and Billboard.
The pop artist tackles modern, and universal, issues on her songs, explaining that  Hostage delves into the darkly obsessive side of love where, “…you are so in love that you feel like you can’t be without them… It is not a healthy feeling…”, Eilish reveals.
Occasional acoustic guitar strokes and a ghostly backdrop of synth twists gently accompany the malaise of the confessional lyrics.

In the musical era of Lana Del Ray, Lorde, and Sia, Eilish has the breakout potential for global reach by showing off her sensitive and perceptive side on her compelling don’t smile at me EP.

Sounds like: Dua Lipa, Astronomyy, Ella Vos, Tempers, Charlotte Cardin
